Adam Jacobs is an exciting and innovative photographer whose ecclectic portfolio has attracted considerable commercial attention.
Originally from London, Adam's enthusiasm for photography was formulated when studying in Australia and further invigorated by his extensive travels around Europe, Asia and the Americas. However, it was only after being diagnosed with Chronic Daily Migraine which left him being forced to spend almost two years lying in a dark room, that Adam's passion for taking pictures was galvanized from a hobby into a concrete career. Indeed, he credits much of his ability to see the artistic even in the most mundane subject matter as stemming from the absence of light, color and form during this debilitating period.
Adam has extensive experience working in both the editorial and commercial worlds and specializes in shooting dynamic cityscapes, architecture, interiors and sports. Despite only just turning twenty-five, he has photographed collegiate and professional sporting events across the globe including much of the 2010 FIFA World Cup Finals in South Africa. He is also adept at candid portraiture having captured well-known figures including Nelson Mandela, Bill Clinton, President Barack Obama, Shakira and Mick Jagger on commissioned assignments.
Adam's distinctive imagery has been used by publications including Sports Illustrated, Middle East Golfer, Sports Business Journal, Estate's Gazette and ESPN while much of his portfolio is currently featured as part of Pictopia's prestigious collections alongside images from National Geographic and Lonely Planet.
He has also given numerous lectures on his experiences, providing photography instruction to companies including Google. Further, Adam uses his photography as leverage to improve migraine awareness by donating a number of his images and proceeds to charitable causes.
